ASOS AW15

It's always a pleasure to be invited to an ASOS press day, especially when it's looking at an upcoming collection for one of my favourite fashion seasons, autumn and winter.

AW15 is all about colour, be that fittingly autumn colours that really embrace the 70's trend or bright, bold colours that will see us drift happily into the 80s.

But there was one trend that has got me totally excited... The glitz trend. Think sequins, embellishment and shimmering jewels, explosive colours and clashing patterns.

So, yes you're allowed to wear all your favourite festival outfits whenever you like, even at the same time because luckily layering will be in too. Sorted!

There were so many amazing designs on display, which I can't wait to buy, but here are just a few of my faves...

The Watch Hut Blogger Event

Last night, I was invited to attend The Watch Hut's annual blogger event in Long Acre, London.

The prosecco flowed as the welcoming staff introduced us to the upcoming ranges. There were numerous displays of luxury watches draped over steps that simply won me over at first glance and had every blogger happily Instagramming their faves.

Designs from brands such as Burberry, Anne Klein, Michael Kors, Coach and Marc Jacobs were stacked on dazzling tiers, categorised by colour and the biggest trends for AW14, such as: Jewel and Forest Tones, Animal Print and Black and Gold.

It was great to be talked through each display by an experienced watch buyer, so we could really get an informed insight into what to expect from this season's watches - and how exactly to wear them! The Black and Gold selection was perfect for party season,  for example.

My favourite designs mainly came from the 'Jewel and Forest Tones' display, featuring the Michael Kors Skylara beautiful design by Olivia Burton that captured the spirit of British countryside and Vivienne Westwood's picture frame watch.

Other watches to keep an eye out for are: Vivienne Westwood Ladies Time Machine Watch in a purple, and a VW watch that had a slim black strap and small rectangular face in a blurred animal print, a black steel mesh bracelet watch from Skagen, a yellow gold Michael Kors Lexington watch with a small face that resembles a Rolex and finally, Anna Klein's beautiful tortoiseshell design.

Oh and did I mention the cakes?

Sequins & Jewels

Jacket - Virgos Lounge, Dress - Rokit Vintage, Shoes and bag - Primark

I waited way longer than I should of to wear the amazing 'Aggy' sequin jacket by Virgos Lounge. But what better time and place than at Bestival? And I didn't shy away from the Desert Island Disco theme, pairing it with a vintage halter neck sequin dress from Rokit Vintage.

This really is a statement jacket and despite its weight, I really loved wearing it. It's definitely not something you can wear too often and quite frankly, I'm not even sure how to wear it outside of a festival environment but no doubt I'll find a way.

If you haven't already checked out Virgos Lounge you really should, as it's amazing for stand out pieces and unique occasion wear, plus it's really reasonably priced.

Clashing patterns and sunshine

Trousers - Apricot, Crochet Bralet - CrochetBoutique on Etsy

This summer, I have searched high and low for the perfect crochet bralet and the time has finally come... I have found one.

Not sure on what to pair it with I had a hunt around and came across these patterned joggers from Apricot Clothing. Comfy and a perfect for a trip to Ibiza. Probably the comfiest outfit that I've worn so far and because clashing patterns is ok - despite what they say - I paired it with an oversized fringed clutch in a contrasting black and white print.

London Fashion Week SS15

London Fashion Week is over, although the fashion world is still very much alive with parties, events and spinoff fashion events. While I didn't attend any catwalks, I did manage to check out the LFW hot spot that is Somerset House and here are some of my favourite looks across the week.

I snapped His Name Is Fashion blogger at Somerset House on Monday because his outfit just jumped out at me. I loved the straight cut lines of his waistcoat, the contrast of fabrics and the colours or lack of.  While I'm partial to a sequin number, I am a girl who loves anything black, grey or monochrome, so, for me, this look complete with the oversized clutch was spot on.

You couldn't miss this fashion trio at Somerset House and I personally spotted them several times and each time their outfits more than impressed. I have since discovered the "Mum, Dad and Son" of fashion go by the names of Ramario Chevoy, Fetish For Fine Fabrics (who's designs can be seen here) and Oscar Jay.

As well as fellow bloggers,  I managed to meet some designers along the way and one of my favourites was Cynthia Mak, who wore one of her own SS15 collection dresses. With three layers and a combination of pleated and silk fabric, it hung in a way that just made me fall in love. The stripes and bold block colour worked perfectly as well and her Chelsea boots perfectly completed the look. Check her collection out here or find her on Instagram.

I'm a fan of streetwear, so obviously loved designers Susanna and Joanna who were working their own brand, along with white chunky sandals, Their label, Anna Seven can be seen here here and the girls are wearing the Thou Shalt Change The Game contrasting colour tees. And for outfit inspo follow Susanna on Instagram.

Sunset blogging

 Cardigan- Apricot, Shoes - Primark

Crochet has made a serious comeback this summer and this pretty 60's style white cut out crochet look lace cardigan by Apricot is the perfect transitional item for your AW14 wardrobe.

I loved blogging this piece as the sun was setting on holiday in Ibiza, as it's three quarter length sleeves and delicate cut out design make it perfect for September evenings.
